Four candidates interviewing for the assistant director for Employer Development position in the Career and Professional Development Center will give presentations via Zoom during the weeks of June 8 and 15, 2020.

Please mark your calendars if you wish to attend a virtual presentation scheduled for each candidate as detailed below.

  • Candidate 1: Tuesday, June 9, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

  • Candidate 2: Thursday, June 11, 1:00-2:00 p.m.

  • Candidate 3: Tuesday, June 16, 1:00-2:00 p.m.

  • Candidate 4: Thursday, June 18, 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Rsums and Zoom links will be released in IUP Daily prior to each candidate's presentation. Assessment materials will be distributed following the presentations.

The main duties of this role will involve: employer relations and development; graduate outcomes data collection; faculty/staff relations as this intersects with employers recruiting and hiring at IUP; development of internship and professional job opportunities for our students, graduates, and alumni; increasing employer/recruiter participation in recruitment and hiring activities and events with IUP; and general administrative duties.

The position will include work in these areas or with these skill sets: internal and external relationship building; workforce and worksite development; assessment; report writing; program development and delivery; fundraising and sponsorships; and involvement in professional organizations that benefit the university and our students, graduates, and alumni.

The professional filling this role will need to be adaptable and ready to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
