  • Come to IUP’s admitted student program, Experience IUP!

If you’ve been accepted into IUP, this program is for you—even if  haven’t made your final decision and chosen a college yet. At Experience IUP, you’ll get a hint of the great things to come when you are on campus.

Find out more about your major by talking to students and professors. Tour college housing. Get helpful tips from current students. And learn about the many ways IUP provides opportunities and supports student success.

Check out "What You'll Do at Experience IUP" below for more info about the event, then be sure to register to save your spot.

If your major is in the Fine Arts, your day will combine Experience IUP activities with auditions and portfolio reviews, the last step to be accepted by your program.

Registration is required for this event.

  • What You’ll Do at Experience IUP

    Morning

    Breakout Sessions

The program will begin at 10:00 a.m. You’ll get to choose three different breakout sessions covering a variety of topics. Ask them questions. Discover the opportunities waiting for you at IUP. Will you join a campus club? Do research? Study abroad?

    Lunch

Your parents and guests will then have a complimentary lunch in the dining hall or dine on their own while you have lunch with some of our current students.

    Afternoon

    Academics and Student Life

After lunch, you’ll talk to faculty and staff from your academic area about your major while your parents and guests attend information sessions. IUP offers more than you can learn about in just one day, but this event is a great start. Find out how we can help you. Explore our many student activities and the highlights of campus life.

    Campus and Housing Tours

Later in the afternoon, you’ll meet back up with your parents and guests for an optional full or housing-only tour of campus, optional Honors College tour, and the opportunity to get your IUP student photo ID card. The day will conclude at about 3:30 p.m.

  • Important Things to Know

    Registration is Required

We need to know you’re coming and your major, so we can arrange to include professors and students who can answer your questions on that major.

Since these events are for admitted students only, when you click the registration link you will be directed to the log-in page for your MyIUP account. Information about your MyIUP account was provided in your acceptance package.

    Considering a Different Major?

If you wish to be considered for a new major, please complete the major change form at least one week before the event so we can review and process your request and coordinate your schedule for the event. Selecting a different major on the registration form does not change your major.

    Guests

This is a very different program from our other visit opportunities, so students who are not admitted and attend as a guest of a registered student will participate in the planned parent experience.
