Culinary Costs

  • A Culinary Education of True Value

    At IUP, we are committed to ensuring our students a world-class university education at an affordable cost.

    The following costs are for the 2018–19 year:

    Instructional Costs*

    • $7,848 per semester
    • No Charge for externship semester
  • Fees

    • Activity Fee: $480 per semester, fall and spring; $144 summer semester
    • Technology Fee: $239 per semester (Pennsylvania residents); $364 per semester (non-Pennsylvania resident)
    • Supply Package:  $1,500, one-time charge for first-year students (This fee covers baking uniforms, baking supplies, and textbooks.)
    • Transportation Fee: $46 per semester
    • No Charge for Parking; students may elect to bring a car to campus.

    *Costs listed are for Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry semesters. Once these semesters are completed, students opting to continue on for the Culinary AAS degree or the BS degree will pay undergraduate tuition and fees found on the Bursar’s website.

  • Housing

    On-Campus Housing, 2019–20 Cost

    IUP Punxsutawney Living Center

    We offer suite-style living with the following options:

    1. Four bedroom, four beds, two bathrooms: $4,723 fall semester; $4,723 spring semester; $3,570 summer semester
    2. Two bedroom, four beds, two bathrooms: $3,758 fall semester; $3,758 spring semester; $2,830 summer semester

    Off-Campus Housing

    Meal Plan*

    • Ten meals a week +$100 flex dollars: $1,549 per semester (Meal plan cost is estimated.)

    *Required for all on-campus residents.
