Note: If you have been instructed to upload your video to a group, please use the instructions under How to upload a video to a group.
Select Create, then Upload video. There are several sections you can update during the upload process. You can get more information about a setting by clicking on the "i" icon next to the setting name.
Details section
Video Language: You must set a video language if you wish to create a caption file.
Name: Enter a meaningful file name. Description: Enter a description, including hashtags, if desired. Thumbnail: Select or add a thumbnail image, if desired.
Permissions section Please note that you can only set permissions to be company-wide or grant access to specific IUP users at this time. Company-wide means anyone with an IUP computing account.
Allow everyone in your company to view this video: By selecting this, everyone with an IUP Office 365 account will be able to view the video.
Share with: If you wish to restrict access to specific people at IUP, choose People. Then enter the username of the person you wish to add. Select the person from the results that are displayed.
Options section
People: Allows you to generate a timeline view of people in your video.
Comments: If comments are enabled, anyone who can watch the video can also comment on it. Captions: Allow you to generate a caption file for the video. If this option is not enabled, open the Details section and select a video language. Note that you can also generate captions after a video has been uploaded.
Subtitles: Allows you to upload a subtitle file for the video. A subtitle file provides a translation in another language.
When your video has been uploaded, click Publish. When the updates are saved, you will see Updates saved, and Publish will change to Published. You will also receive an email message indicating that your video has finished processing. Please note that the video will not be available for viewing by others until you have received the notification.
