Dan graduated from IUP in 1986 with a BS in Industrial Management, minoring in MIS. For 5 years after graduation, he was a Federal Investigator, coordinating national investigations. He completed his MBA from Purdue University in 1993, while working as a staff supervisor in the residence halls.
He previously worked for Do it Best Corporation in Fort Wayne, Ind. as a Purchasing and Inventory Control Coordinator and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. as an Adjunct Professor in the areas of Operations Management and Supply Chain Management.
For the past 15 years, Dan has worked for the FedEx Corporation in various capacities within Operations/Network and Facility Planning including determination of capacity and location of over 500 package distribution centers across North America. Dan is also a partner for the Shoemaker Investment Group, LLC and the Vice President of Communication for the Pittsburgh Chapter of APICS.
Dan and his family live in Mars, Pa. where he serves his community as a Mars Area Soccer Club Head Coach.
