The Jones White Writing Center will be open for tutorials starting on Monday, May 9, and continuing until Friday, August 5, 2022. Tutoring during the summer term will be virtual-only with synchronous (Zoom) and asynchronous options.
Hours of Operation for Summer 2022
- Sundays: 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Mondays: 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Tuesdays: 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Thursdays: 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Fridays: 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Additionally, the Writing Center's Graduate Editing Service will have the following hours:
- Tuesdays: 1:00–4:00 p.m.
- Thursdays: 2:00–4:00 p.m.
The Writing Center can help students with any piece of writing at any stage in the writing process—from first-year writing students to graduate students, across a variety of disciplines. Tutors will work with students on any piece of writing for coursework and beyond and will also assist with scholarship applications, graduate school applications, and other non-academic work.
Writing Center tutors are trained undergraduate and graduate students who are certified through the Collegiate Reading and Learning Association's International Tutor Training Program.
