that were not founded to be research intensive universities are now redefining
their identities to be more scholarship oriented. Faculty, already busy with
teaching and service, are feeling increased pressure to produce scholarship and
funding. This one-hour workshop examined the sources of those pressures and
suggested writing and stress management strategies for producing scholarship
while still maintaining best practices in teaching and contributing to the
shared governance of the university.
