Kevin W. Bailey (SAHE ’90) was announced as the 2025 Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors recipient of the Dr. Kent L. Gardner Award. Bailey currently serves as vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
The Dr. Kent L. Gardner Award is awarded each year to a senior college or university administrator who has consistently demonstrated dedication to the growth and support of fraternities and sororities. AFA is the leading professional community for those dedicated to enhancing the fraternity/sorority experience. The award will be formally presented at the AFA conference in December.
Bailey has received numerous honors for his contributions to IUP and the field of student affairs, including the Ronald Lunardini Distinguished Alumni Award from the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education in 2009, NASPA Pillar of the Profession in 2015, IUP’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2019, and the Keeper of the Flame Award as IUP’s honoree at the 2024 PASSHE Summit.
