This panel discussion will focus on issues that face migrant workers in Indiana County and how they impact its local agricultural and food service industries. These issues have received little public attention and discussion, especially with regard to the local need and void of "unskilled labor" occupations that include hazardous work conditions, unskilled pay rates, and fulfilling long hours of work.

While Blacks and Latinxs experience marginalization in the United States, Dr. Molina will argue that AfroLatinxs are forced to maneuver through structural barriers intended to hinder them to: positively promote their identity, increase their social-economic mobility, and live a healthy and productive life-styles.

This event is co-sponsored by the Hispanic Heritage Council.  Free lunch and attendance voucher will be available.
