Jim and Evelyn Piazza, parents of Timothy Piazza, are set to speak to the campus community about the death of their son and their hope for change on college campuses. Timothy Piazza was a sophomore at Penn State in 2017 when he died after a night of pledging a fraternity. This event is sponsored by the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Join us Monday night!

Italians and the Holocaust: 80 Years On

Eighty years ago, the Italian Government began a series of Antisemitic measures that led to Italy's participation in the Holocaust. And yet, up until that point, many Italians ad boasted that they were different from other Europeans when it came to the so-called "Jewish Question" and certainly different from their new allies in Nazi Germany. So, how can one explain the subsequent Italian persecution of Jews? And, what lessons can we learn now from a consideration of the case of Antisemitism?
