Welcome back to IUP and the start of a new academic year!

Success begins the moment you step into the classroom or log in to your courses. Class attendance and participation are critical to your college success. Federal regulations require IUP to verify that students are attending their classes. If you don’t attend during the first week and don’t communicate with your instructor, you’ll receive an “N” grade for that course, which could delay or affect your financial aid.

If you can’t attend for a legitimate reason, be sure to contact your instructor as soon as possible.

Everyone at IUP is committed to helping you succeed. If you need help, reach out to:

  • Your course instructors
  • Your academic advisor
  • Your college Dean’s office
  • Your navigator

You can also connect with the University College - IUP for academic support and student success resources by emailing universitycollege-inquiry@iup.edu or visiting B01 Stabley Library.

Good luck this semester!
