I am very saddened to inform you of the passing of Ron Mabon, a long-time member of the Marketing and Communications area who retired from his work at IUP in 2022 after more than two decades of service.
Ron was one of the two victims in a pedestrian-vehicle accident that happened in downtown Indiana on Monday afternoon.
Ron was well known for his graphic design skills and for his kind and gentle demeanor.
He held two degrees from IUP, one in fine arts and one in communications media.
He is survived by his wife, Kris; three sons; and five grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
