Driscoll and Alumnus Yacoub Help Launch New Writing Center in Istanbul
A partnership that began when Turkish scholar Osman Özdemir trained at IUP’s Jones White Writing Center has led to the launch of a new writing center at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. To support the effort, IUP professor Dana Lynn Driscoll and IUP alumnus Omar Yacoub traveled to Turkey to deliver keynote presentations, train tutors, and help establish the center’s programs. The project highlights IUP’s growing international impact in writing center development and writing education.
