Traditional EMR Course


IUP Emergency Services Training announces a Traditional EMR course. This program is primarily designed for future EMS personnel, but is appropriate for anyone who may respond to emergencies, including fire/rescue personnel, nurses, coaches or athletic trainers, safety professionals, and others.

Participants who successfully complete this program are eligible to take National Registry of EMTs EMR certification exams for Pennsylvania and national certification.

Course Dates:

  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6:00-10:00 p.m.)
  • November 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 27, 29, December 4, 6, 18, 20
  • Saturdays (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) November 17, 2018, and January 5, 2019

Course Requirements:

Course includes classroom, skill, and field sessions. Students must meet minimum physical capabilities of PA DOH. In addition to scheduled dates, students must complete NIMS 100/700 courses through free, online modules. Students must also obtain a Hazardous Materials Awareness Certificate - (4) hour NFPA 472 Classroom Course , no online Haz Mat accepted.

Preregistration is required. Anyone interested in attending should complete the registration form and make the $100 deposit by October 22, 2018.
