Mr. Sam Bennett

Supply Technician

Sam BennettSam Bennett is a native of Bradford, Pennsylvania . He entered the US Army in July 1982 and completed his basic and advanced individual training at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

He has served in various assignments within the United States and around the world. His stateside assignments include Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Lewis, Washington; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Indiana, Pennsylvania; Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; and Grand Forks, North Dakota. He has also served in the Federal Republic of Germany on two occasions. Bennett has attended various military schools, including the Primary Noncommissioned Officer Course, Basic Noncommissioned Course, Advance Noncommissioned Course, Recruiter School, and the Air Assault School.

Bennett has served in numerous leadership positions in the Armor field, including Bradley commander, E Troop 2/11 ACR, Bad Kissingen, Germany; platoon sergeant in 2nd Battalion, 17th Cavalry at Fort Hood, Texas; observer controller, Active Component/Reserve Component, 2nd Regional Training Brigade, Fort Lewis, Washington; operations sergeant, Indiana University of Pennsylvania; and operations sergeant, Slippery Rock University. He is currently assigned as the supply technician at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Bennett's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (one oak leaf cluster); Army Commendation Medal (four oak leaf clusters); Army Achievement Medal (five oak leaf clusters); National Defense Service Medal (one bronze star); the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (with number two); and the Overseas Service Ribbon (with number 2).
