Amplify is an IUP student organization affiliated with Pittsburgh East Community Church. Our mission is to lead as many people as possible into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Amplify is a movement of people who are living for something greater than ourselves. Love has gotten inside of us and we can't be quiet about it. This love? It is love that would move the heart of the creator of the universe to send His Son in our place. This love? It is the solution, the answer, the remedy to everything inside of us and around us. Amplify wants to make this love loud to the campus of IUP.

Every esbat and sabbat we try to have a ritual and celebration which may or may not be an official event, and there may be more than one group within the organization performing a ritual. We encourage all members to organize their own rituals and to attend as many as desired.

    Activities:

    • Weekly meetings during which we discuss our faith and practices, work on crafts, plan group activities, and celebrate spirituality
    • Coffee hour after our formal meetings

    UUUnitarian Universalists at IUP

    Rev. Joan Sabatino
    724-464-5352
    joansab@comcast.net

The mission of Unitarian Universalists at IUP is to provide a liberal religious presence on the IUP campus, and to provide a safe environment for all to explore the religious and spiritual questions of our lives.

We offer a brief worship service each Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., HUB, Conemaugh Room.

After worship, we have far-ranging discussions on religious topics, such as:

    • How should one know what to believe?
    • What is the universe like?
    • What are people like?
    • What should society be like?
    • What is the purpose of a religious community?

Ours is a liberal religious tradition that seeks wisdom and inspiration from many sources, while affirming individual conscience and individual experience as the best authority for our beliefs.

UU at IUP also offers opportunities for building community with like-minded individuals and opportunities to work together on social justice and social outreach projects.

UU at IUP is affiliated with the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Indiana, Pa.

We offer rides to Sunday Services from the HUB Circle at 10:00 a.m. during the semester.
