Copeland Whitfield has been selected as the IUP Punxsutawney Person of Purpose for November-December, 2020.
This award recognizes a student who has shown academic excellence and good work ethic and who actively participates in the classroom. The recognition reinforces the critical value of passion, persistence, and purpose in achieving meaningful success.
Award recipients are chosen from faculty nominations.
Whitfield is a biology education major and has earned dean's list recognition.
Copeland will receive a $250 award.
