I am sorry to tell you of the passing of Jaedyn Wright, a third-year communications media major with a concentration in media production from Rankin, Pa. Jaedyn died Saturday, October 17.

We will share information about memorial arrangements as they become available.

The death of someone you knew can evoke strong feelings. The best way to cope is to talk to your closest friends, family members, or trusted teachers. There are people among us who have experienced similar events, and they are often more than willing to help others going through difficult circumstances.

Students who would like to speak with a counselor this weekend or after traditional business hours should contact the Armstrong-Indiana 24-hour Crisis Line at 877-333-2470. During the week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. students may call the IUP Counseling Center at 724-357-2621. Counselors are available for crisis appointments and consultation and to offer guidance and support during difficult times.

Members of IUP's Council on Spiritual and Religious Life also are available. Please email spiritual-life@iup.edu to have a campus minister provide support.
