Colleagues,

The family of Jaedyn Wright, a third-year communications media major from Rankin who died on October 17, has invited us to share information with the IUP community about Jaedyn's memorial arrangements.

There will be a wake for Jaedyn on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a funeral service on Friday, Oct. 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel, 808 Talbot Ave., Braddock.

The death of someone you knew can evoke strong feelings. The best way to cope is to talk to your closest friends, family members, or trusted teachers. There are people among us who have experienced similar events, and they are often more than willing to help others going through difficult circumstances.

Students who would like to speak with a counselor may call the IUP Counseling Center at 724-357-2621 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Counselors are available for crisis appointments and consultation and to offer guidance and support during difficult times.

Students who need to speak to a counselor after traditional business hours should contact the Armstrong-Indiana 24-hour Crisis Line at 877-333-2470.

Members of IUP's Council on Spiritual and Religious Life also are available. Please email spiritual-life@iup.edu to have a campus minister provide support.
