The announcement of Dr. Michael A. Driscoll's appointment as IUP's next president has resulted in an outpouring of congratulations and invitations from throughout IUP and the Indiana community. Dr. Driscoll would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome.
Dr. Driscoll continues his duties as provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of Alaska Anchorage and will be busy throughout the winter and spring wrapping up his duties there and planning his move to Indiana. During his brief visit to the IUP campus this spring he will be busy in meetings to learn more about IUP.
As a result, he will not be available to attend local events until after he takes up his presidential duties on July 1, 2012.
