The presidential search committee conducted two open forums on Friday, September 9, 2011, in the HUB Ohio Room. Search consultant John Thornburgh from the firm Witt-Kieffer solicited information from faculty, staff, and students in regard to the qualities they would consider critical to the success of the next president of IUP.

Mr. Thornburgh also asked those in attendance to share their ideas as to IUP's strengths so that this information can be emphasized when communicating with potential candidates. Responses were thoughtful and insightful.

A meeting of the committee will be held within the next ten days to develop a timeline for the vetting of resumes and the scheduling of interviews.

The committee welcomes input from the university community as we move ahead with the process (send e-mail to rwinters@iup.edu). We will continue to provide updates on the search.
