The process of conducting the search for IUP's new president has continued through June and July, and the committee has several items to report.

John Thornburgh, the search consultant, visited the IUP campus on June 14, 2011, to gather input from various campus and community constituencies. Following his visit, the position profile was developed and is now available. We feel that it is an informative and visually appealing document that states clearly what IUP has to offer prospective candidates, as well as what our expectations are for the potential applicant.

Two open forums are scheduled once classes resume in the fall. Both will be held in the HUB Ohio Room on September 8. The first forum, scheduled for 12:30 p.m., will be for administrators, staff, and students. The second forum, for faculty members, will begin at 2:00 p.m.

We will look forward to seeing you at the forums, and we continue to welcome your comments or questions in regard to the search process.
