Former IUP President Lawrence K. Pettit has scheduled book-signing events in Indiana, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C., for his recently released memoir, If You Live by the Sword: Politics in the Making and Unmaking of a University President.

Pittsburgh
Thursday, September 30, 2010, 7:00 p.m., Joseph-Beth Booksellers, SouthSide Works
The Indiana and Pittsburgh events are open to the public. The Washington event will be ticketed, as it is also a fund-raising event for a children's literacy organization, Reading is Fundamental.
Pettit's book includes four chapters on his experience as IUP president, from 1992 to 2003.
