• The university photographer provides the most-often-sought asset of the Communications and Marketing Office. Because photographs are in high demand for the Web, publications, advertising, and media relations, the university photographer must concentrate on projects that complement the work of the Communications and Marketing Office, have a high return on investment, and are meant for mass media audiences.

Departments seeking photography services for programs, awards, and news releases may contact the university photographer directly at 724-357-2631 or Work-study photography students may also be available for some services. The university photographer is a member of the AFSCME bargaining unit, and departments may be responsible for overtime expenses outside the normal working office hours.

The Communications and Marketing Office may also provide guidance on how to secure outsourced photography services for requests that fall outside the guidelines above. Members of the campus community should contact the university photographer at least two weeks in advance of any event or request to allow for scheduling.
