In honor of International Women’s Day, the IUP Office of
International Education will host a panel of speakers, including Dr. Gail Belin, associate professor in the English
Department at IUP, and Dr. Nadia Yaqub, associate professor at
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, to share their
inspiring stories and research explaining how women in the
Middle East have inspired change.
In addition to these
distinguished professors, Dr. Christine Baker, assistant
professor in IUP’s History Department, will chair the session. IUP student posters featuring research or papers about
international women will be on display before and after the
panel.
