Season Wrap Up

Jahzinga Tracey

IUP player Jahzinga Tracey (right) scored her 2,000th point during a February 28 basketball game against Slippery Rock, making her the ninth player in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference history to do so, while Gerald Brooks became the twenty-fourth player in IUP history to score 1,000 career points during a game against Gannon last month. Both the men’s and women’s teams moved into playoff action earlier this month, and the women’s team won the PSAC championship. Pawel Glowiak (below) won his third straight PSAC title in the 100 backstroke—his fourth PSAC title in three years. In indoor track, Maddy Outman won the 400 meters and 55-meter hurdles and scored in three other events to earn the title of Most Outstanding Overall Athlete, while Tamika Taylor sprinted to a win in the 55-meter dash to give IUP a total of five individual titles at the PSAC indoor track and field championships.
