University Family Helps Student Success

Beginning this month, the Annual Giving Office will be appealing to employees to support the student experience through the University Family Campaign.

“Whether you teach, advise students, deliver packages, or balance budgets, you play an important role in enabling the education of IUP’s students. Today’s students achieve noteworthy accomplishments day after day. They win scholarships and competitions, present at national conferences, earn dean’s list honors, serve as ambassadors for IUP in our community and abroad, and even bike across the country to raise money for charity. Participating in the University Family Campaign ensures we continue to give a top education to our students,” Emily Smeltz, interim Annual Giving director, said. “Instead of mailing letters to employees, we’ve put our campaign on line this year to save resources and to enable easy, year-round access to information and forms for making one-time payroll deduction gifts.”

Cochairing this year’s campaign are Jack Stamp, this year’s University Professor and a member of the Music faculty; Arden Hamer of the Development Studies faculty; Mary Morgan of the Alumni Relations staff; and Mark Geletka of the Administration and Finance Division.
