SCA Conservation Internships

Starting and ending times vary according to internships, which tend to range from 12-16 weeks in length.

These life-changing experiences are offered in over 60 disciplines and in all 50 states. Internships are available throughout the United States in areas such as national parks, forests, and cultural sites.

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) interns are inspiring individuals who, in the last year, have restored 40,000 acres of habitat, protected hundreds of threatened wildlife species, and educated tens of thousands of people about environmental stewardship. These young adults are more mature, confident, and marketable because of their SCA experience. They are the next generation of conservation leaders.

All positions are expense-paid and tuition-free, and most offer generous education awards. This allows students to gain experience in their desired fields (including Archaeology, American History, Cave Management, Environmental Education, Forestry, Photography, Wildlife & Fisheries, and more) while they work with federal resource agencies including the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the US Geological Survey, as well as many state and local agencies and private organizations.

There are many possibilities for internships that allow students to understand the world around them even better.
