The Commencement Committee notified graduates and their families on February 15, 2021, that plans are still in progress for spring commencement ceremonies. No decision has been made about whether the ceremonies will be in-person or virtual.
The committee is continuing to discuss all the possible options. While we wish to provide everyone with adequate notice of commencement plans, we do not want to make the decision too early. Recommendations related to the coronavirus pandemic can change quickly, and we are monitoring those recommendations to ensure we can follow guidelines and keep our graduates and families safe.
As plans take shape, the Commencement Committee will keep graduates and the rest of the IUP community informed. We ask that all community members continue to do their part to keep themselves and others safe and healthy.
No matter how the ceremony takes place, we are thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates.
