Finals week can feel overwhelming, but students don’t have to navigate it alone. With a mix of preparation, balance, and campus support, success is within reach.
Breakup with Long Study Sessions
-
Try 30 minutes of studying, then take a 10-minute break.
-
We suggest taking a break for a snack or a quick walk to relax your brain!
-
Switch what you are studying every three hours to avoid subject burnout.
-
Set small attainable goals for yourself.
-
Example: Complete one chapter review.
Reset Your Mind
-
Change your study location to give a fresh feeling.
-
Try the Oak Grove, library, or the study whiteboard rooms in Kopchick Hall.
-
Study with friends—this can help with accountability.
-
Set an award for yourself following your study session.
-
Examples: a sweet treat or a short session of doom scrolling.
-
Attend De-Stress Fest on May 5 from 3:00 p.m. in the Library.
