The Lunafest film festival, an event to raise awareness of women's issues, will be held March 24, 2010, at Pratt Auditorium. Films will be screened at 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
The festival was created to promote women filmmakers and support women's nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The festival has raised more than $250,000 for more than a thousand nonprofit organizations.
The following short films will be shown:

- Plastic, by Sandy Widyanata
- Roz (and Joshua), by Charlene Music
- Monday before Thanksgiving, by Courteney Cox
- DIY: Emancipation 101, by Lynn Robinson
- The Kinda Sutra, by Jessica Yu
- A Vida Politica, by Kat Mansoor
- Anjali, by Maya Anand
- Omelette, by Nadejda Koseva
- The McCombie Way, by Kristina and Nick Higgins
Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and the Alice Paul House, Indiana County's shelter for domestic violence survivors and their children.
The event is coordinated by the Haven Project at the Center for Health and Well-Being, the President's Commission on the Status of Women, Women's Studies, and PASSHE Women's Consortium. For more information on the festival or the films, visit the Lunafest website.
