Indiana University of Pennsylvania has been selected by Pennsylvania Business Central for its annual “Top 100 Organizations” listing.

Nominees from a sixteen-county region were considered by the publication's editorial board. The final honorees were businesses that achieved a high level of excellence and had a positive impact on the region in 2009.

“The recognition further confirms the standard of excellence for which our university community takes pride,” Dr. Tony Atwater, IUP president, said. “We also are pleased to be honored for IUP's major contributions to economic development in Western Pennsylvania.”

Pennsylvania Business Central is an independently owned biweekly business newspaper based in State College.

The “Top 100 Organizations” listing will be published in the newspaper's February 26 issue.

In December, magazine editors announced the selection of Atwater for its annual “Top 100 People” list for 2009.
