Running from March 21 through May 2, 2026, this immersive showcase reveals the technical show behind the show that transforms creative vision into theatrical reality.

The Art of Theatre offers a rare look at the intricate processes required to bring a production to life. Visitors will discover the journey from initial set renderings to costume design and prop building, highlighting the artistry and engineering that define the world of professional theatre.

To celebrate the opening of this unique exhibition, the University Museum will host a free public reception on Saturday, March 21, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to explore the displays and gain a new appreciation for the diverse skill sets—from painting to tailoring—that build a new reality on stage.
