Grand Opening of Library Information Desk and Learning Commons

Explore the newly renovated IUP Libraries during a grand opening on Wednesday, September 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and enjoy food, fun, and giveaways as you tour the new areas. Everyone is welcome to participate!

The library is unveiling its new Information Desk and introducing the following areas that make up the Learning Commons:

• the Career and Professional Development Center,

• the Center for Teaching Excellence,

• the Kathleen Jones White Writing Center,

• the future site of the STEAMSHOP, and

• the University College. 

Stop by the Information Desk first to receive a drawstring bag and use it to hold all the giveaways you receive during your tour. In addition to freebies, representatives of each area will give information about the services they provide.

Students, faculty, and staff who make it to each stop on the tour and complete their tour punch card will be entered to win gift cards to Starbucks, the Co-op Store, Amazon, and Hoss's Steak and Sea. Faculty who plan to escort their class to the Grand Opening or offer extra credit to their students for attending may enter a drawing for one of two $25 Amazon gift cards.  Faculty can sign up early by completing the online form.
