Electronic resources at the IUP Libraries are easily available to IUP students, faculty, and staff from any off-campus location by following some simple access rules.
You are probably familiar with using single sign-on authentication for IUP sites like MyIUP. Single sign-on is enabled for most library resources, and selecting a research database from off-campus will direct the user to the single sign-on interface.
However, IUP also provides access to library resources through IUP'svirtual private network (VPN). The VPN connects your computer securely to IUP's network, so you are automatically authenticated and will not be prompted for any usernames or passwords to access any of our online resources. Authenticating through single sign-on or the VPN helps IUP faculty, staff, and students stay connected to hundreds of databases and millions of articles, e-books, and digital resources for online coursework and scholarship.
