Kelly Heider, IUP Libraries’ education librarian, serves as bibliographer to the following departments and programs:
In addition to her collection development duties, Heider also provides instruction, reference service, web page development, and outreach to faculty and students in the College of Education and Communications.
The IUP Libraries provide access to two collections, both managed by Heider, that are of great interest to the faculty and students of the College of Education: the Children’s Collection and the K-12 Textbook Collection (both collections are located
on the second floor of Stabley Library).
Heider also works closely with the College of Education and the Indiana County Early Care and Education Center (IndiKids) to coordinate Wild about Books, a volunteer program for Early Childhood and Elementary Education students.
Heider also coordinates several programs which serve the university and the Indiana community. They include Crimson Scholars, the Treasures for Children Book
Drive, and the Scholastic Book Fair.
