Become a Latin American Studies Minor

IUP student Maria Newton (Spanish and International Business double major) studied abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica.
The Minor Process
Students who are interested in the Latin American Studies minor must arrange to meet with the LAS coordinator to fill out an application which is forwarded to the dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences for approval.
Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 to enroll in the Latin American Studies minor program.
Students are expected to keep track of their own progress through the minor. Each semester, during the advising session (generally October and March), students are encouraged to meet with the LAS coordinator to discuss scheduling options.
