E-Mail and Calendar

  • IT Services is in the process of migrating our users to Office 365.

    Students, your e-mail is on the Office 365 platform. I-Mail accounts for students are no longer accessible.

    Employees are being migrated to Office 365 by department/office.

  • Users will be notified prior to their conversion. If you have received notification and your account has been converted, access your e-mail by logging into Office 365. If you have not yet been converted, continue to logging into I-Mail.

    If you have questions on the migration itself, please log an ihelp ticket at ihelp.iup.edu.

  • IUP offers an e-mail account to all registered students and all faculty and staff members. The format of your IUP e-mail address is username@iup.edu.

    General Information

    E-mail is the official communication method of IUP, information pertaining to the usage of e-mail at IUP can be found under the general information section. 

    I-Mail (for non-migrated users)

    The general skin and interface used by IUP is I-Mail. This skin is the default view that you see when you log in to https://imail.iup.edu. Here you will find information pertaining to the I-Mail skin and the functionality that it includes. The FAQ section includes many short tutorials on how to accomplish various tasks in I-Mail.

    Anti-Spam Service

    Our anti-spam service is designed to help filter out a large portion of “junk” and unwanted e-mail. Anti-spam functionality and usage is detailed out under this section.

    E-mail Processing Rules

    E-mail processing rules can be created to perform a set of automated tasks. You may have messages directed to certain folders, you may create an automated reply for when you are away, and more.

    Mailing Lists

    Mailing lists are available accounts to faculty, staff, and groups on campus. These mailing lists help facilitate the distribution and reception of messages to large groups of the campus community. Available in this section are all details in regards to mailing lists, including the ability to request a mailing list. 

    Course Section E-mail List

    Course Section E-mail Lists are specialized mailing lists requested by faculty to contact students in the faculty's courses. See Mailing Lists for a further explanation.

    Alumni and Retired E-mail Access

    All alumni and retired employees are eligible for e-mail access that is associated with the university. Specific details of the services offered to alumni and retirees can be found in this section. 


    The CGP calendar is an integrated part of our e-mail system. All accounts have this feature built into them. Under the calendar section you can find information about how to setup and access the calendar system.
