Announcing Online Learning 101 for Students - Spring 2021

To support our students with the challenges they may face this year, IUP is pleased to offer a free, non-mandatory, noncredit course called Online Learning 101 for Students – Spring 2021, designed to simulate an actual IUP online course. During this five-day interactive course, students participate in activities designed to familiarize them with the common tools used in online courses at IUP. 

Fall Schedule for Teaching Online Certificate Course

The Office of Instructional Design Services announces fall sessions for the three-week asynchronous Teaching Online certificate course, which provides instructors with a student’s perspective, guidance on designing an online course, and instructions for using the various D2L Brightspace tools.

2020 Summer Academy for Staff Plans Announced

IUP’s 2020 Summer Academy for Staff, a professional development program designed for staff to gain new perspective and skills when using technology, organizing and planning events, and communicating and connecting with students, will begin on Monday, June 15.

Roundtable for Hands-on Learning at a Distance

Join Anne Kondo and Justin Fair as they moderate a roundtable discussion, “Hands-on learning at a distance?” This event highlights sharing ideas about delivering hands-on learning remotely or with social distancing guidelines. This event, open to all IUP faculty, will be offered three times over the summer: Thursday, June 11; Thursday, June 25; and Thursday, July 16.
