• IUP Homecoming 2020 is Going Virtual!

    Mark your calendars for a Homecoming experience you'll never forget!
    October 4 through October 10, 2020

    Homecoming is for all members of the IUP community and we need you to make it a memorable experience. While we will miss seeing everyone in person, we are excited that alumni, students, and friends from both near and far will be able to participate in our virtual Homecoming festivities from the comfort of their living rooms around the globe!

    Homecoming activities (for both students and alumni) will be hosted the week of October 4 through October 10, with a variety of virtual experiences both live and previously taped, including a few nostalgic videos!

    • What is your favorite Indiana memory? Did you love Coney wings on Thursday, a chicken salad sub from 9th Street Deli, a Steele City “samiche” piled high with fresh cut fries, maybe a latte at the Artist Hand, or was it a genuine heat-lamp burger from Winky’s? Give a shout out to your favorite local Indiana businesses that you are missing during IUP’s virtual homecoming!

    Panel Discussion: Is Race Real, 3:30–5:00 p.m.

    • Members of the Anthropology department will address the definition of race with a panel presentation and discussion.

    STATIC IUP Homecoming 2020 ft. D Smoke and Flawless Real Talk (Virtual), 8:00–10:00 p.m.

    • STATIC presents D Smoke and Flawless Real Talk, live in virtual concert, to kick-off IUP’s Homecoming celebrations on Thursday, October 8, via Zoom.     IUP Virtual Homecoming Parade—A Walk Down Memory Lane, 10:00 a.m.

    • Take a walk down memory lane and watch a video montage of IUP Homecoming parades over the last 50 years set to music of the IUP Marching Band.

    The Coach’s Show Special: IUP Homecoming, 2:00 p.m.

    • Take a look back into IUP Football history with legendary coach Frank Cignetti and sports information director Ryan Rebholz for a special rewind edition of The Coach’s Show. They’ll discuss the 2005 IUP vs. Slippery Rock Homecoming game, some of the great players who participated in the victory, along the program’s rich tradition. Immediately following The Coach’s Show, the game will air in its entirety and the 2020 Band will host the halftime show.
