Dean MackWelcome to our website! This site is for future and current students, faculty and staff involved in graduate programs and scholarly work, university administrators, alumni of our programs, and friends who wish to support graduate education and research at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).

Graduate education and research are critical components of IUP. We strive to create an academically rich and rigorous environment that instills in each student a sense of inquiry, a thirst for lifelong learning, an appreciation for intellectual honesty, and a desire to maintain a high level of professional integrity. Our student-centered faculty work in partnership with students and help them to achieve their potential.

IUP has been recognized by many national publications as an outstanding value in higher education, based on the excellence of its programs and its affordability. We offer a large array of graduate programs, including more than fifty graduate programs and ten doctoral programs. IUP is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a Doctoral/Research-Intensive institution—only 6.6 percent of nearly four thousand institutions of higher education tracked by the Carnegie Foundation are classified as institutions with a doctoral mission.

Students, please note that there is a graduate student organization. This organization is your voice. Please consider actively participating in it.

Best wishes for a challenging and rewarding graduate experience!
