Admission Guidelines

The IUP MS in Food and Nutrition, Dietitian-Nutritionist Program is open to prospective students meeting the Selection Criteria.

The DNP has received accreditation approval from ACEND and so now the university is in the process of finalizing this program. Therefore, prospective DNP applicants must use the MS in Food and Nutrition Education track application. This application will state, "The program I am applying for is the MS in Food and Nutrition - Education Track. However, I would like to be considered for the DNP when it becomes available. " You must indicate "yes" for your application to be considered for the DNP and select admission for Summer 2021.

  • Application Submission Period: To be considered for the next cohort, all students must submit their application to the IUP School of Graduate Studies and Research for the MS in Food and Nutrition, Dietitian-Nutritionist Program between January 2 through March 1 of each year. For 2021, applications will be extended through April 2, 2021.
  • During the application submission period, applicant interviews take place on a rolling basis and end by March 15 of each year. For 2021, applicant interviews will be conducted through April 23, 2021.

All applicants are notified of admission decisions between March 16 and April 15 of each year. For 2021, applicants will be notified of admission decisions no later than April 30.
