The 2023–24 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to apply for financial aid for fall 2023 is available as of October 1, 2022.
To receive the maximum amount you are eligible for, you should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. You will need your FSA ID to log in to the FAFSA website. If you don’t remember your login information, that’s OK—just click the Forgot My Username or Password link from the login screen.
You will use your tax information from 2021 to file the FAFSA for next year. To make it easier, you can use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to automatically import all 2021 federal tax information when you get to the financial information section.
Directions and more information on how to file your FAFSA can be found on the Office of Financial Aid website. If you are a Pennsylvania resident, the deadline to file the FAFSA to receive consideration for the PA state grant is May 1, 2023.
