Manufacturers, technology companies, bio techs, environmental technology companies, corporate bank headquarters, inpatient healthcare facilities, including primary-care hospitals, nursing homes, mental health facilities, and rehabilitation centers are eligible for essential skills training grants including business operations, computer operations, communications skills, manufacturing fundamentals, product and process control, workplace behavior skills, and workplace health and safety up to $2,000 per eligible employee.

A representative of S&T Bank had the following to say regarding the benefits of the program:

"During the 2019-2020-year, S&T was eligible to participate in the WEDnetPA program. We are appreciative that this program was offered to small and large employers across Pennsylvania. By partnering with WEDnetPA, we reduced our training costs for the year, allowing us to allocate those funds toward our employees’ career development. Our employees attended trainings on topics such as Leadership, Time Management, Project Management, Technical Skills and more. This opportunity, combined with the wonderful assistance we received from the team at IUP, allowed us to have a successful training year."
