Coming from the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico, Jon Lonjose will share his personal journey of growing up within his traditional culture while navigating life as a twenty-first-century American.
Through this presentation, he will offer a firsthand perspective on Native American identity, community, and resilience. He will also provide insight into aspects of Native American history that are often left out of mainstream education, as well as highlight the diverse host peoples who have long called this land home.
His goal is to foster understanding, respect, and dialogue about what it means to live between cultures while carrying forward the strength of his ancestors.
