IUP Wind Ensemble's "Spring is in the Air" Concert is special for several reasons: the music chosen, the composers who wrote the pieces, and the performers involved. Please join us and bring the meaning of spring to our musical selections to Indiana.
The program will begin with "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin, wind arrangement by Donald Hunsberger, and our very own Henry Wong Doe as piano soloist. Our second selection is the world premiere of Nancy Galbraith's "Concerto for Woodwind Quintet and Wind Ensemble."
The Woodwind Quintet is comprised of the following IUP music faculty: Theresa Wacker (flute), Stephanie Caulder (oboe), Rosemary Engelstad (clarinet), Heidi Lucas (horn), and Jason Worzbyt (bassoon).
