IUP Human Resources will host a flu clinic for employees. Getting vaccinations is an important step in protecting your health and helping to reduce the spread of illness in the workplace.

Faculty, Managers, Coaches, OPEIU, POA, and SPFPA

Highmark members can obtain a no-cost flu, COVID, or pneumonia shot at any CVS, Giant, or Giant Eagle pharmacy in Pennsylvania, as well as many other participating pharmacies. No appointment is needed—the member must present their Highmark member ID card. Members should confirm that their pharmacy participates with Highmark for flu, COVID, or pneumonia shots.

At the on-site clinic, Highmark members (and Highmark members covered under an unrelated employer plan) can receive a no-cost flu, COVID, or pneumonia shot at the event by presenting their Highmark member ID card. Pneumonia shots are for high-risk individuals or those aged 50 and older.

Highmark members can obtain a shot from their physician (an office visit co-pay may be charged).

Members should confirm that their pharmacy participates with Highmark for flu shots.

Members also have the following options:

At your doctor’s office: Present your medical plan ID card and pay the appropriate copayment.

At a CVS Caremark Flu Shot network pharmacy: For members age nine and older, present your prescription drug ID card.
