The Criminology Department sponsors several student organizations.

Undergraduate students are eligible for the Criminology Association and Alpha Phi Sigma.

The Criminology Association is open to all undergraduate students and sponsors a number of speakers and philanthropic events throughout the year. Students wanting more information about the Criminology Association should contact Bitna Kim.

Undergraduate students may also apply for membership in Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honor society. Students interested in Alpha Phi Sigma should contact Jon Cooper.

Graduate students may join the Criminology Graduate Student Organization. The CGSO sponsors brown-bag luncheons on a variety of topics throughout the year.

The IUP Department of Criminology houses the only student chapter of the Pennsylvania Prison Society. The chapter is open to graduate students.

The National Criminal Justice Honor Society was founded in 1942 and is the only nationally recognized Criminal Justice Honor Society.
