Actively Moving Forward- Empowering young adults through their grief journey

Please note, this is not a therapy group, but rather a support group for those who are grieving or seeking to support friends/family who are grieving. If would like to seek confidential counseling services, please contact the IUP Counseling Center at 724-357-2621 or email counseling-center@iup.edu to schedule an appointment.

You are not alone.  Actively Moving Forward (AMF) is a community of students coming together to support and empower each other while providing grief support for students grieving the illness or death of a loved one. This is a safe place to chat and bond. Wherever you are in your grief journey, AMF is here for you.

Our first meeting will be in person at Suites on Maple East in Room G-18 on Tuesday, October 12th at 4:00 pm, with bi-weekly meetings to follow. This will be a time for us to discuss what AMF is, what we want AMF to look like this year, and an opportunity discuss officer positions

Interested in connecting with others? Please email Mariah (vqncc@iup.edu) or Simonie Grabowski (xpncc@iup.edu)  with any questions or for more information. You can find them on Facebook at Actively Moving Forward at IUP for meeting updates and information. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and find a community built on support and friendship.

Date: Tuesday, October 12
