Welcome back to campus for the spring semester! IUP begins the spring 2026 semester on Tuesday, January 20, and we wish you a strong start, feeling refreshed, focused, and ready for success at IUP.
As you settle into the semester and begin thinking about your future, we want to share a reminder about an important resource available—the IUP Career and Professional Development Center.
The CPDC supports students at every stage of their career journey, from exploring majors and career paths to applying for internships, jobs, and graduate programs. We encourage you to check out the information below. Remember: you don’t have to navigate these decisions alone.
Here are just a few ways the CPDC can support you this semester:
- One-on-one career coaching appointments (available in person, via Zoom, or by phone)
- Résumé and cover letter reviews (you can email documents to resume-review@iup.edu)
- Career Fairs and MeetUps, both on- and off-campus
- Career readiness workshops and panel discussions featuring employers and IUP alumni
- Free professional headshots using the CPDC Professional Photo Booth—no appointment required
- Experiential learning opportunities such as The Washington Center and The Disney College Program
- An online resource library with guidance on interviewing, résumé writing, salary negotiation, and more
- Digital tools like BrightJUMP by ADP, a career readiness platform that helps students build skills, explore career options, and confidently navigate the job search process; and Handshake, IUP’s career management platform
Students can view the full calendar of events at iup.edu/career, where they’ll find the most up-to-date information. Many CPDC programs are livestreamed on Facebook, and select events, such as our Professional Panel Series, are also offered via Zoom for added flexibility.
We are especially excited about upcoming events featuring IUP alumni and employer partners eager to connect with students and share real-world insights. When you are ready, you can schedule an appointment with a CPDC team member online or stop by the CPDC office in B20 Stabley Library, a welcoming space to study, meet, or ask questions.
Wherever you are in your university journey, CPDC is here to help you take the next step with confidence.
